Mr. Sompong SANGUANBUN
Education
He graduated from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, in Political Science in 1975. He obtained a Master Degree in Political Science, Chulalongkorn University in 1980.
Work
He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand in 1980 and served at different posts, such as the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations at New York in 1985-1988 ;the Royal Thai Embassy at Yangon in 1995-1998;the Royal Thai Embassy at Washington, D.C. in 2000-2002; and the Royal Thai Embassy at Moscow in 2008-2010.
He became the Consul-General, Royal Thai Consulate General at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in?2003-2007.
He was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Cambodia in 2011-2012, and to Hungary in 2012-2014.
After retired from the governmental service, he took up a position as the Dean, Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies, Government College, Rangsit University, Thailand, from October 2014 until present day.
