The State Council Information Office held the New Year Reception 2018 at the National Museum of China on December 19. Huang Kunming, the member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the director of the Central Propaganda Department, attended this reception and exchanged views with Chinese and foreign guests.
Jiang Jianguo, Vice Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC and the Director of the State Council Information Office, said in his speech that 2017 is a landmark year in the development history of China. The CPC held the 19th National Congress, which established the historical status of Xi Jinping's socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and elected a new leader group of the Party Central Committee taking Xi Jinping: as the core. State Council Information Office closely organized and held the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to study and implement the socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jinping. The second volume of XI JINIPNG: THE GOVERNANCE OF CHINA was edited and published. Many exchange activities between domestic and foreign medias and think tanks were held. State Council Information Office and various departments and held thousands of press conferences to provide media coverage across China.
